Velvet Ember began as a humble dream between two lifelong friends in a quiet corner of Greenwich Village. Our mission was simple yet uncompromising: to rescue coffee roasting from industrial uniformity and restore it as a sacred, sensory art. Every single bean we source is hand-selected from regenerative family estates across the high-altitude volcanic soils of Ethiopia, Sumatra, and Colombia. We slow-roast them in micro-batches over seasoned fruitwood coals, coaxing out deep undertones of dark cocoa, warm cherry wood, and caramelized molasses.
